New Movement Collaborative An organization dedicated to building new dance in Boston, NMC produces events, workshops and performances throughout the year and is known for their flagship event the Lion’s Jaw performance + dance festival
Moving Target Boston’s legendary Saturday master class with a rolling roster of both local and nationally recognized dance artists.
Midday Movement Series An ongoing daytime master class series with some of Boston’s strongest contemporary teachers.
Boston Dance Alliance The long-time home for dance information in the city, the BDA is a resource for ongoing classes and events as well as studio rental information.
Mobius The long time performance-art collective that continues to cultivate amazing performances and fascinating artists.

Lion’s Jaw performance + dance festival This annual festival bring teachers from all over the globe to Boston for 5 days of nonstop classes and performances every October. Focused around experimentation and professional dance development, classes range from somatic investigations, to contemporary phrase building and composition, to contact improvisation technique and more.

School for Contemporary Dance + Thought The home for new-dance making in Western Massachusetts, SCDT runs everything from daily classes to talk + performances to annual festivals.

Ponderosa This wild experiment in summer dance-living outside of Berlin is a one-of-a-kind center for dance and discovery.
Leviathan Studio Far off the coast of Washington, on the windswept cliffs of Lasqueti Island sits one of the most radical centers for Contact Improvisation in the world. Leviathan hosts summer residencies and workshops in it’s custom built space that are unlike anything else anywhere.
Contact meets Contemporary Festival This annual summer festival in Germany was built with the intention of building more contemporary work with CI vocabulary. Wonderful teaching and rigorous classes.
Freiburg Contact Festival Another summer festival, also in Germany, Freiburg is the largest Contact Improvisation festival in the world. Hosting nearly 400 participants over the course of a week, Freiburg is considered the premier CI teaching festival in the world today.
